One of the most popular sites on the web is Wikipedia , but it has one drawback: it wants to be balanced and neutral.

OviPedia, on the other hand, is our very own encyclopaedia and it is filled with biased, emotional and unbalanced entries about a growing range of topics. We want opinion-based articles in this section that will trigger discussion, debate and argument

Wikipedia doesn't like statements and claims that have not yet been fully cited, while OviPedia thrives upon it. The material in this section is true according to the belief and viewpoint of the writer, so don't use it as a research tool - only a tool to fire up discussion.

What is RSS?

RSS is a type of web feed that provides a way for users to passively receive newly released content, such as the latest headlines, updated web pages, sound files, or other media.

Compared to websites, feeds have a few advantages for the user experience:

* Users can be notified of new content without having to actively check for it.

* The information presented to users in an aggregator is typically much simpler than most websites. This spares users the mental effort of navigating complex web pages, which can be a demanding, attention-focusing task when trying to accomplish other work.

* Media files can be automatically downloaded without user intervention.

RSS feeds are operated by many news web sites, weblogs, schools, and podcasters.

Here are two tested by the Ovi team:

Klipfolio.com
This very simple desktop program works in the background and notifies you of updates via a pop-up box. You can add an RSS feed by clicking on the "Add Feed" button in the toolbar, pasting in the RSS feed URL and then press refresh.

Awasu.com
This is a little more complicated than Klipfolio and has a similar layout to Outlook, but it offers the advanced RSS feeder more, such as individually configurable channels, different ways to let you know when new stuff arrives and feed archiving.
