Do you think that dance is the only artistic activity that body is actively used?

What about using body movements when playing a piano, painting a tree, or cutting a piece of meat?

If you are curious, I would like to introduce GulsinOnay, Haiying Yang, and CuneytAsan to you.

Gulsin is a pianist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpj_GhEPmHA&feature=relmfu

Haiying is a painter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9b4mm_QRkiY&feature=related

Cuneyt is butcher: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDUbcQLLQYw&feature=related

Could we hear the same sounds if Gulsin didn’t move like that?

Could the tree be the same if Haiying didn’t move like that?

Could the pieces of meat be the same if Cuneyt didn’t move like that?

Movements of the body emerge as source of creative process or the creative result itself. Almost, body erects soul and the soul concretes in the resulting object – in each keystroke, in each brushstroke, in each knifestroke…

Indeed, the human body too is a work of art and it moves. I suppose ballet is the closest form of art to life that there is. Which reminds me of the famous statement of Einstein after a colleague had finished writing a complex theorem on the board which purported to describe the mathematically the nature of the universe: "But, my friend, you forgot something; the universe moves."

Very correct Emine!
Movement of body in space has a correlation with aesthetics: it informs the way eyes and feet move when experiencing it.
