The mountains
Gazed at the
Sea and sighed,
Whispering to
The waves
Through
A whistling
Wind.

the_lovers_400The ocean
Danced and
And curled
Her blue
Fingers
Around
The Mossy
Green
Rocks.

The
Wheat
Fields
Swaying
Between
Them.

As geese
Flew overhead
Towards the
Purple
Horizon.

"Love me,"
Whispered
The rocks.

"Feel me,"
Said the
Waves.

Their song
Floating over
Wagons on
Rutted roads
And cowbells,
Voices caught
In seashells.

"Love me,"
Whispered
The rocks.

"Feel me,"
Said the
Waves.

They gazed
At each other
Longingly,
The mountains
And the sea;
As geese
Flew overhead,
And the sun
Sank slowly
Over the
Purple
Horizon.
