Last October, the media was abuzz when a fly landed on then U.S. Vice President Mike Pence’s head during his debate with then U.S. Senator Kamala Harris. Sadly, word has come from the fly’s family that he passed away just two days after the October 7th debate.

“It is with heavy wings that we share that our brother, Larry, passed away on October 9th. Larry never sought attention and would never want to be “the fly” on any wall. Last October, Larry was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time. We want to be clear and state that despite rumors in the media, former Vice President Pence’s hair products in no way contributed to Larry’s death. Larry was 32 days old and simply passed from old age. He was a kind and gentle insect that would never hurt a fellow fly. Larry loved The Rolling Stones, dog poop, and spending time with his family. We ask that you please honor our request for privacy at this time.”

Neither the office of Vice President Kamala Harris or former Vice President Mike Pence has responded for comment.

This story is breaking.
