I felt like an eagle,
I soared with my
Wings outstretched
Flying over the
Landscape of my life;
Over rivers of sorrow
And oceans of joy,
Fields of dreams
And the flowers of love.

I suffered the pain
And bathed in the joy;
I felt every moment
And every memory
Of my life flow through my veins
As the Greek music
Coursed through my limbs
With eyes closed
And head thrown back
And with a smile on my face;
I danced to the song
And turned in slow circles with
My eagle wings outstretched
Leaping athletically into the air
Clicking my fingers
To the beat.

It was New Year's Day,
And I celebrated its
Arrival like an
Eagle soaring
Over it all.
