Like many Israelis, I was disappointed that Eden Alene could not compete in this year's Eurovision because of COVID-19.

I know Idan Raichel and others will do a fantastic job writing her a song. But if they need inspiration, they could look at these lyrics I scribbled. They can use them if they want, change them, arrange them, or ditch them.

Go Eden! Bring home to Eurovision in 2021!

Confined in my heart

eurov001_400You are
Confined in my heart
There is no way out
So come on honey let's dance all night
We will never stop

Come on honey don't mask your feelings
Put your shoes on and let's dance

Take off your mask
And show me your love
Don't seek your way out
Because you're confined in my heart
Confined in my heart

Come on honey don't mask your feelings
Put on your shoes and let's dance

So let's dance all night
I will fine you if you stop
If you run away
I will deliver my heart
Because you're confined in my heart

Come on honey don't mask your feelings
Put on your shoes and let's dance

Don't look for the end
This confinement never stops
We'll dance till the sunrise
And the beat never stops

You'll catch my love
You'll catch my fever and dance
And spend the rest of your days confined in my heat

Author's note: Of course I don't intend you to use these lyrics verbatim for next year's Eurovision. I'm not proud of them. Let's say it's a first draft (if you want to use it for inspiration) and needs to be arranged and expanded and changed.

Of course if you want me to join in the writing/arrangements/choreography whatever, call me, text me, email me, send me a pigeon with a note. A little bit of time and concentration and we'll come up with something.

Yalla Eden! B"hatslachah!
