August 19th is the World Humanitarian Day; a day dedicated to recognize humanitarian personnel and those who have lost their lives working for humanitarian causes.

davy01_400Humanitarianism. And poetry. Poetry because:

For what does the poet wait, when waiting for the world?  The poet who sings the world, opening soul to the senses of others; awakening other souls; waits for recognition, acceptance, appreciation.

David Sparenberg writes: “A poet’s responsibility is to sing the world.” And David’s poetry is a song of love for the humanity, a song composed using for instruments letters with soul. “The poet’s work is to shape the languages of life’s presence into experience through the languages of human response.”

The Fate of Poets is David’s fourth EBook with Ovi and the one dedicated to his long path through poetry. 45 years in verses, from 1974 to 2019. A lifetime of passion from a crusader of humanitarianism.

The poet is a response waiting for an answer.
