on top a mountain,
the sun dissolves
what’s covered by mist;
its vision will not miss:
the blossoming glades
whose colors abound;
the soft skin of shadows,
under slumbering boughs.
wipe away the fog
to the sparkling seas,
lend an iridescent sheen
to all things underneath.
how sweet and generous
is the sun’s true kiss,
to travel beyond
the first object in bliss.

"[P]oets are masters of us ordinary men, in knowledge of the mind, because they drink at streams which we have not yet made accessible to science." - Sigmund Freud (Add a comment)
Freud is on target here, as far as he goes, but what he fails to mention is that as soon as science has discovered those silent streams of poetry, poetry will also cease to exist. Poetry cannot be manifested and empirically tested like science; in fact the thrust for science which is the thrust for truth is itself poetical and beyond science.

As usual, Paparella's comment is so obviously self contradictory that it crumbles into his standard nonsense.

I must have said something novel and fresh to merit a comment from the Grand Inquisitor and Censor of this magazine. Thanks!

Goodness, Paparella, those are your voices deceiving you. I wonder why you allocate such grand powers to me since I have neither official titles nor the capability to influence the nonsense you continuously spew.
Do I frighten you or are you so entranced with the officialdom of the Catholic Church which is free with such nonsense that you cannot see the world except through that type of vision?

I see that the voices in your head have advised you to return to their favorite mission: the gratuitous bashing and smearing of the Catholic Church. Don't believe them, they are liars and deceivers. Thanks for the complimentary comments again. I must have said something new and novel and insightful since you promised that you'd keep quite till I did so. Or have the voices adviced not to honor your own word? Be careful, they are messing around with your mind.

Voices, voices, voices everywhere. And you object to being informed that you have not yet achieved novelty. It doesn't hurt to be aware.
