Boris Johnson pleaded with his Remainer neighbour’s bother for minutes over the phone not to quit walking his Brexit fiancée’s dog, it has been claimed.

Mr Smith (not his real name) announced his intentions today, saying he is ‘torn between my love and my national interests’. The news stunned officials in Number 10, who reportedly had not been told by the Prime Minister of his neighbour brother’s plans.

A Downing Street Spokesman said that our thoughts and prayers are for the poor dog that has to suffer the consequences of Brexit in the hands of an irresponsible Remainer. Mr Smith laughed and answered “time for this Brexiteer fiancée to do something for this dog and not expect everything from me.”
