Lately I have been giving some thought to gathering the essays I have contributed to Ovi in the last three years on the theme of religion and its nexus to liberal democracy and politics. The ultimate aim contemplated for this project is to eventually publish those essays as a hard or soft cover book.

p2_01

It came as a surprise to me, its author, to compile a list of 52 essays. I’d like to share the list with the interested Ovi readership. I suspect that this theme, of particular interest to me to which I frequently return, may be appealing too to those concerned with the crisis of Western Civilization. It stands to reason that those of an “enlightened” frame of mind, those who believe that civilization begins with the Enlightenment in 18th century France, need not concern themselves with such a nexus.

For those interested, however, I have added to the title of each essay the date when it appeared in Ovi magazine and a link by which they can retrieve any of the essays they may find attractive, or wish to simply peruse or perhaps read again. In any case, my injunction is simply to keep one’s mind open and simply enjoy!
